Aaron Design Academy is having two options for Online Live Coaching for CEED:

Option 1: Live Online Classes + Regular Classroom coaching after lockdown at Centre. Student can initiate the preparations with LIVE Online classes. Once the lockdown is over; Student will attend regular batches for CEED coaching at the Aaron Design Academy

Option 2: Live Online Classes till Entrance exam date. This course is designed for the Students who are unable to travel to Centre for preparation. For them we have started LIVE Online Classes where the full course will be taught through Live Online classes till exam date.

Aaron Design Academy’s course for CEED coaching is designed to provide a comprehensive preparation for the of entrance examination for various Design Colleges. Our focus is on enhancing drawing skills, design thinking, observation skills, and solving previous years question papers. We aim to provide best coaching for CEED. Course content is designed after analysis of past 10 years of question papers. Topics that would check Visualization and spatial ability, Observation and design sensitivity, Environmental and social awareness, Analytical and logical reasoning, Language and creativity, Design thinking and problem solving and drawing skills will be covered.

The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED) is to assess the candidate’s aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem solving skills. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay. It is a qualifying examination for admission to Master of Design (MDes) programmes at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur and IIITDM Jabalpur, and to Ph.D programmes in Design at IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, and IIT Kanpur.

CEED Entrance Exam Pattern

PART-A (Total marks: 240 marks; Maximum time: 2 hours 30 mins)
  • Part A contains objective type questions (multiple choice questions, multiple select questions and numerical answer questions)

  • Answers to Part A have to be given on the computer. These will be design aptitude type questions that evaluate visual and spatial ability, environmental and social awareness, analytical and logical reasoning, language, observation and design sensitivity of the candidates
  • Marks obtained in Part A will be used to shortlist candidates. The cut-off for Part A marks for shortlisting candidates in the open category will be X + y Σ, where X is the average marks obtained by all candidates in Part A, Σ is the standard deviation, and y is a factor decided based on total number of seats
PART-B (Total marks: 100 marks; Maximum time: 2 Hours)
  • Part B consists of questions that are aimed at testing design, drawing and writing skills. The questions in Part B will be displayed on the computer screen and the answers are to be written in the answer book provided by the invigilator (NOT into the Computer)
  • Part B answer books will be evaluated manually for the candidates who are shortlisted from Part A.
  • In Part B, there will be 5 questions of total 100 marks. There will not be any optional question.

NOTE- The final CEED score will be calculated by giving 25% weightage to marks obtained in Part A and 75% weightage to scores obtained in Part B after the above calculation

Eligibility for CEED - Qualification & Age criteria

Admission in Master of Design(M.des) There is no age limit to appear for CEED.

A candidate can appear for CEED any number of times.
Candidates must have completed a degree / diploma / post graduate degree programme of minimum 3 years (after 10+2 level),

or must be appearing for the final examination of such a program by July 2020,

or must have passed the GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2020.

Eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes may differ from the eligibility criteria for appearing for CEED.

Before applying for CEED, candidates are advised to check whether they meet the required eligibility criteria for admission to various institutes.
